Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na chov živočichů ve školním prostředí a jeho potenciál pro výuku přírodopisu druhého stupně. Práce má dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se zabývá přírodovědným vzdělávání, chovy živočichů ve školním prostředí a ve výuce, shrnuje benefity a bariéry jejich využití, a dále se zabývá praktickými aspekty těchto chovů.
