Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá institucionálním rozdělením regulace a dohledu ve Spojených státech amerických v reakci na světovou krizi z roku 2007. Klíčový pro tuto práci je nová zákon Dood-Frank, který 21. července roku 2010 podepsal americký prezident Barack Obama. První část této práce se zabývá fungováním bankovního systému USA v čele s Federálním rezervním systémem. Popisuje fungování finančních trhů a jákym způsobem jsou regulovány a dohlíženy. V dalších kapitolách, které můžeme nazvat praktickou částí, se práce zabývá jednotlivými institucionálními změnami regulace a dohledu na základě Dood-Frank zákona. Závěr práce se věnuje zhodnocení provedených změn, jaký vliv tyto změny budou mít na fungování finančních institucí a zda se pomocí niž, povedlo předejít podobným krizím v budoucnu.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with the institutional division of regulation and supervision in the United States in response to the global crisis of 2007. The key to this work is a new law Dood-Frank, which signed by US President Barack Obama on July 21 2010. The first part deals with the functioning of the banking system led by the US Federal Reserve System. Describes the functioning of financial markets and how they are regulated and supervised. In later chapters, which can be called the practical part, the work deals with various institutional changes in regulation and supervision under Dood-Frank Act. Finally, the work presents an evaluation of the changes, what impact these changes will have on the functioning of financial institutions and that the law will help prevent similar crises in the future.
