Historical milestone of Czech banking

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá historií bankovnictví na našem území od roku 1919 do vzniku České národní banky. Primárně se zabývá vznikem Bankovního úřadu a okolnostmi, které zapříčinily vznik první centrální banky. Dále práce popisuje Státní banku československou a zavedení jednostupňového bankovnictví a následný opětovný přerod na dvoustupňové bankovnictví. Dále jsou zde ve stručnosti uvedeny základní informace o Evropské centrální bance. Cílem práce bylo vytvoření edukativní přednášky o historii bankovnictví zaměřená na studenty střední školy. Informace o průběhu této přednášky a následném testu znalostí studentů jsou uvedeny v kapitole čtvrté a páté.

Abstract:

This thesis contains the history of banking on our territory since the year 1919 till the formation of the Czech national bank. It is primarily addressing the formation of the Banking bureau and circumstances, which caused the establishing of the first central bank. Furthermore, this thesis describes State bank of czechoslovakian and the implementation of one-stage banking and the subsequent return to two-stage banking. There are also briefly mentioned the basic information about the European Central Bank. The point of this thesis was to create an educational presentation about the history of banking aimed at secondary school students. The information about the duration of this presentation and the consecutive testing of said students knowledge are stated in chapters four and five.
