Abstract:

ŠMIHEĽ, Marián. Possibilities of development of tourism in the protected landscape area Horná Orava. [Master´s thesis] The Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. Prague: 2017. 67 p. Tourism is considered one of the most prosperous and fastest growing sectors of the economy, which is involved in GDP creation as well as in the reduction of unemployment. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the protected landscape area of Horná Orava and to propose the possibility of making tourism more attractive in the given area. The chosen variant must fit into the concept of the selected area, be supported by both the private as well as the public sector and have no negative environmental impact. The main criterion for selecting the variant will be environmental analysis and promotion of attractiveness from the private sector. The starting point for the recommendation part will be the findings of a SWOT analysis and the results obtained by means of questionnaire research that recommend the most appropriate variant for tourism development.

Cestovný ruch je považovaný za jedno z najprosperujúcejších a najrýchlejšie sa rozvýjajúcich odvetví hospodárstva, ktoré sa podieľa na tvorbe HDP, ako aj znižovaní nezamestnanosti. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je zanalyzovať oblasť chráneného krajinného územia Horná Orava a navrhnúť možnosť zatraktívnenia ponuky cestovného ruchu v danej oblasti. Zvolená varianta musí zapadať do konceptu vybranej oblasti, byť podporovaná od súkromného, ako aj verejného sektora a nemať negatívne dopady na životné prostredie. Hlavným kritériom pre výber varianty bude analýza prostredia a podpora atraktivity od súkromného sektora. Východiskom pre návrhovú časť budú výstupy SWOT analýzy a výsledky získané prostredníctvom dotazníkového výzkumu, ktoré doporučujú najvhodnejšiu variantu pre rozvoj cestovného ruchu.
