Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce představuje myšlenku implementace inovativní metody výuky anglického jazyka na základní škole (první a druhý stupeň) v Rudě nad Moravou v České republice, kde byla metoda používána v letech 2020 – 2022 a na prvním stupni je využívána od roku 2020 dodnes. Primárním účelem práce je popsat model rotační výuky a prozkoumat metodu z pohledu učitelů a žáků. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a empirickou část. Studie podrobně popisuje myšlenku neobvyklé metody, kdy jsou paralelní skupiny studentů angličtiny vystaveny výměně učitelů po určité době, která trvá jeden měsíc, šest týdnů nebo pololetí. Časový interval je závislý na ročníku a dalších konkrétních okolnostech, které jsou v práci důkladně popsány. Práce charakterizuje vztah mezi učitelem a žákem, dobu potřebnou k adaptaci na změnu, výhody a nevýhody rotačního modelu a předkládá očekávané přínosy, jako je profesní rozvoj nebo prevence syndromu vyhoření. Empirická část je zaměřena na použité metody a předmět výzkumu. K odhalení vlivu rotační metody byla použita kvantitativní metoda sběru dat. Jako výzkumný objekt byli vybráni učitelé a žáci ZŠ v Rudě nad Moravou. Práce popisuje využití metody, její očekávané přínosy a výzvy během učebního procesu a prezentuje výsledky, které jsou založeny na osobních zkušenostech učitelů a žáků zapojených do metody.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis introduces the idea of implementation of an innovative method of English language teaching at Primary and Lower Secondary school in Ruda nad Moravou, the Czech Republic, where the method was used in 2020 – 2022 and has been in use at the Primary school since 2020 to this day. Its primary purpose is to explain the model of rotational teaching and explore the method from teachers’ and pupils’ perspective. The thesis includes both the theoretical and empirical part. The study provides a detailed description of the idea of the unorthodox method, where the parallel groups of English learners are exposed to a change of the teachers after a specific time period, which takes one month, six weeks or a half of the school year. The time interval is dependant to the school grade and other specific circumstances thoroughly discussed in the thesis. Furthermore, the thesis characterises the relationship between the teacher and pupils, necessary time for an adaptation to the change, challenges and benefits of the rotational model and discusses predicted benefits such as professional development or burnout syndrome prevention. The empirical part focuses on the methods and subject of the research. To discover the effect of rotational method, the quantitative method of data collection were applied. As the research object, the teachers and pupils from the Primary and Lower Secondary school in Ruda nad Moravou were chosen. The thesis describes a use of the method, its expected benefits and challenges and present results dependent on personal experience of teachers and pupils involved in the method.
