Cílem bakalářské práce je vymezit základní pojmy související s trestem smrti a trestem odnětí svobody na doživotí, charakterizovat sankce trestního práva v ČR, přiblížit historický vývoj a účely trestu, jak a kde se tresty smrti vykonávají a spojitost mezi trestem smrti a trestem odnětí svobody. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to define the basic concepts related to the death penalty and life imprisonment, to characterize criminal law sanctions in the Czech Republic, to approximate the historical development and purposes of punishment, how and where death sentences are carried out, and the link between the death penalty and the prison sentence.
