Design and Realization of a Montessori Toy Focused on the Development of Fine Motor Skills

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce pojednává o metodě Montessori a hračce, která je na principech Montessori vyrobena. Tato hračka je současně zaměřena na jemnou motoriku. Skládá se ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V části teoretické se zabývám dětstvím z hlediska biologického i pedagogického, předškolním věkem, jemnou motorikou. Dále jsou v teoretické části kapitoly o tom, kdo byla Maria Montessori, jaké byly její myšlenky, historie metody Montessori, učitel v pedagogice metody Montessori. V praktické části popisuji výrobu Montessori hračky krok po kroku. Také popisuji další činnosti, které se dají u této hračky využít. Montessori hračku jsem otestovala a ověřila v mateřské škole s dětmi ve věku od 3 do 6 let.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is about method of learning which is called Montessori and a toy, which is built on principles of the Montessori method. The toy is also aiming at development of fine motor skills. The thesis consists of two parts, the first is theoretical part and the second is practical part. The theoretical part is about childhood from biological and pedagogical point of view, preschool age and fine motor skills. There are also chapters about who was Maria Montessori, what were her principle ideas, history of Montessori method and about a role of teacher in the pedagogy in the Montessori method. The practical part of my thesis consists of the description of the production of the toy step by step, and also of the description of possible acitivities in which could be this toy used. The Montessori toy was tested and verified in kindergarten with children in age from three to six years old.
