Problems and needs of the patients in palliative care

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problémy a potřeby pacientů v paliativní péči. V teoretické části je vysvětlen pojem paliativní péče a stručně popsáno, co je hlavním posláním této péče. Dále jsou popsány bio-psycho-sociální a spirituální potřeby a problémy pacientů v paliativní péči a je poukázáno na to, aby tyto potřeby byly při ošetřovatelské péči vnímány jako stejně hodnotné a důležité pro zajištění kvalitního života nemocného. Hlavním cílem průzkumného šetření bylo zjistit bio-psycho-sociální a spirituální potřeby pacientů v paliativní péči a následně tyto potřeby porovnat mezi onkologickými a neonkologickými pacienty. Hlavní metodou průzkumného šetření byl standardizovaný dotazník, který byl doplněn vlastními otázkami. Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že nejvíce pacientů uvádí problém v oblasti týkající se samostatnosti, kde jim nejvíce potíží činí pokračovat v obvyklých aktivitách. Dále bylo zjištěno, že pomoc odborného personálu vyžaduje nejvíce pacientů při osobní dopravě. Z průzkumného šetření také vyplývá, že při hodnocení potřeb nejvíce pacientů uvedlo potřebu respektu a úcty ze strany ošetřovatelského personálu za důležitou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis considers with problems and needs of patients in palliative care. In theoretical part there is a definition of palliative care and briefly described what is the main object of this care. In further part there are described bio-psycho-social and spiritual needs and problems of patients in palliative care. It is pointed that these needs must be perceived during nursing care with the same value and importance for insurance of quality life of patient. The main object of the practical part of this bachelor thesis is to find out bio-psycho-social and spiritual needs of patients in palliative care and consequently to compare needs of patients with cancer and needs of the other patients. Main method of research the standard questionary was chosen. Standard questionary was added by author?s questions. In the research was discovered, the most of patients have difficulties in autonomy, in continuing the usual activities. Further it was discovered, the most of patients want professional attention for their personal transport. The research pointed to that respect and piety of staff nursing is important need for the most of patients.
