Building blocks of modern web

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na identifikování a popis všech náležitostí neboli stavebních prvků moderního webu. Slovní spojení „stavební prvek“ je v tomto kontextu použito jako souhrnný pojem pro technologie, služby, analytické a jiné nástroje a v neposlední řadě best practices – jak by všechny prvky měly být uspořádány tak, aby web dobře fungoval jako celek. Zabývá se i tématy jako je SEO, UX a marketing, optimalizace rychlosti, optimalizace návštěvnosti a minimalizace opouštění stránky. První částí je stručný úvod do problematiky této práce. Druhá část práce se krátce věnuje historii a vývoji webu do současné podoby. Třetí část popisuje aktuální technologie a jejich propojení a „spolupráce“ napříč webovou aplikací. A čtvrtá, hlavní část práce, se zabývá samotnými prvky moderního webu. Jde poměrně do hloubky SEO problematiky, obsahuje teoretické i praktické příklady a modelové situace. U každého tématu také navrhuje doporučení pro optimální použití daného prvku.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on identifying and describing all the characteristics and building blocks of a modern website. The term „building block“ is used in this context as an umbrella term for technologies, services, analytical and other tools, and finally, yet importantly, best practices – the methods of assembling all the elements together to achieve the best possible performance of the website as a whole. It also covers topics such as SEO, UX, marketing, speed and traffic optimization, and minimizing page abandonment. The first chapter contains a quick introduction to the subject of this thesis. The second chapter of the thesis briefly describes the history and development of the web up to its current form. The third chapter introduces current technologies and their interconnections and „collaborations“ across the web application. Finally, the crucial chapter of the thesis is the fourth one, which deals with elements of a modern website. It focuses on the topic of SEO in detail, containing theoretical and practical examples and model situations. Furthermore, it includes recommendations for the optimal use of the given element within each subject.
