Role of parents in social interaction of preschool children on children playground

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou role rodičů v sociální interakci předškolních dětí na dětském hřišti. Práce se nejprve zabývá charakterizací klíčových pojmů sociální interakce a komunikace, jež jsou nezbytné ke správnému uchopení pozorovaných sociálně interakčních situací, dále se zabývá procesem socializace v kontextu období předškolního věku dítěte, jakožto procesu niterně spjatého s procesem sociální interakce. Empirická část popisuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, jehož hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jaké jsou role rodiče v sociální interakci předškolních dětí na dětském hřišti, jak se rodič na této sociální interakci podílí, za jakým účelem do této interakce vstupuje a jak ji ovlivňuje. Na základě analýzy sesbíraných dat technikou zúčastněného pozorování, byly vymezeny čtyři základní role rodiče v sociální interakci předškolních dětí na dětském hřišti, a to role facilitátora, strážce pravidel, komunikačního partnera a doprovodu.

Abstract:

Topic of the bachelor thesis is the role of parents in social interaction of preschool children on children playground. The thesis first introduces the basic terms of social interaction and communation, which are essential for proper understanding of observed social-interactive situations. It also deals with the process of socialization within the context of preschool-age child as a process that is inherently connected with the social interaction process. Empirical part presents results of the qualitative research study, whose main aim was to find out what are the parents' roles in social interaction of preschool children on chidren playground, what is the parent's contribution to the interaction, how the parent joins the interaction and how she or he influences it. Based on the analysis of data collected using the method of passive observation four basic roles of parent in social interation of preschool children on children playground were established. These are the roles of a faciliator, rule enforcer, communication partner and finally a role of accompanying party.
