Use of Zootherapy in children with trauma in preschool age

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na využití zooterapie u dětí v předškolním věku při vyrovnávání se s prožitou traumatickou událostí. První část práce je zaměřena na shrnutí informací týkajících se zooterapie, dětí s postižením a dětského traumatu. Ve druhé části byl použit kvalitativní výzkum, konkrétně případová studie tří dětí v předškolním věku, mající nějaký druh postižení, které zažily traumatickou událost. Výsledky této části bakalářské práce ukazují, že zooterapie má pozitivní vliv na děti předškolního věku, pomáhá dětem o prožitém traumatu mluvit a vyrovnat se s ním.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of zootherapy in preschool children in coping with a traumatic event. The first part of the work is focused on summarizing information about zootherapy, children with disabilities and child trauma. In the second part, qualitative research was used, namely a case study of three preschool children with some type of disability who experienced a traumatic event. The results of this part of the bachelor thesis show that zootherapy has a positive effect on preschool children, helping children to talk about the trauma and cope with it.
