Jak už samotný název bakalářské práce napovídá, zabýváme se pohledem předního českého kritika, novináře a estetika Františka Xavera Šaldy na osobnost a dílo Williama Shakespeara. V úvodu práce je stručně představen Šalda, styl jeho písemného projevu a jeho místo na poli umělecké estetiky. As the title of the bachelor’s thesis suggests we deal with the point of view of František Xaver Šalda, the Czech leading critic, journalist and aesthetician, on the personality and work of William Shakespeare. Šalda, his style of writing as well as his place in the field of aesthetics is introduced in the beginning of the thesis.
