Diplomová práce se věnuje trestu domácího vězení, který do české justiční praxe vstoupil teprve nedávno. Rozšířil tak škálu alternativních trestů u nás. Jeho aktuálnost byla jedním z důvodů, proč si autorka toto téma zvolila. V práci se snaží poskytnout ucelený přehled problematiky tohoto trestu. This thesis deals with house arrest. This new punishment entered into force only few months ago. A range of alternative sanctions was extended. The problem became really actual and that is one of the reasons I chose this topic.
