Polynomial approximations
Abstract:
In this thesis we study approximation of functions by polynomials. Continuous and discrete approximations are presented. In the context of the least-squares method orthogonal polynomials are mentioned. The thesis also contains examples of some approximations. There is a comparison of types of discrete approximations at the end of this thesis.
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá různými druhy aproximace funkcí pomocí polynomů. Uvedené jsou některé spojité aproximace a aproximace diskrétní. V souvislosti s~metodou nejmenších čtverců jsou zmiňované ortogonální polynomy. Součástí práce je demonstrace jednotlivých typů aproximce na příkladech. Na závěr je uvedené názorné porovnání jednotlivých diskrétních aproximací.
