A case study of 5th grade pupils of primary school - between teasing and bullying

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá průzkumem pohledu žáků 5. ročníku ZŠ na 5 modelových situací šikany, 1 modelovou situaci škádlení a 1 modelovou situaci běžnou ve společnosti. Jedná se o případovou studii s 8 výzkumnými hypotézami. Cílem je vyzkoumat, zda žáci rozpoznají akceptovatelné chování od neakceptovatelného, a zároveň zjistit, jak by dané situace řešili. Diplomová práce je strukturována celkem do 8 kapitol. Teoretická východiska výzkumu jsou postupně definována ve dvou hlavních kapitolách. První kapitola pojednává o školní třídě jako sociální skupině a jejím příznivém prostředí. Druhá kapitola vymezuje šikanu a škádlení a společně je porovnává. Následující praktická část postupně charakterizuje výzkumný vzorek, cíle, hypotézy, metody a průběh výzkumu. Výzkum probíhá na 12 žácích 5. ročníku ZŠ a zahrnuje i rozhovor pomocí návodu s třídní učitelkou dané třídy. Následuje předložení 6 modelových situací všem žákům (jednotlivě) a ústně administrovaný dotazník s oporou emočního teploměru. Výzkum je ukončen 7. modelovou situací, jejíž řešení žáci vyjadřují kresbou. Poslední kapitoly interpretují zjištěné výsledky celého výzkumu a hodnotí výzkumné hypotézy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the survey of the viewpoint of 5th grade elementary school pupils on 5 model situations of bullying, 1 model situation of teasing and 1 model situation common in society. This is a case study with 8 research hypotheses. The goal is to find out whether the pupils can distinguish acceptable from unacceptable behavior and at the same time to find out how they would solve the given situations. The diploma thesis is structured into a total of 8 chapters. The theoretical starting points of the research are gradually defined in two main chapters. The first chapter discusses the classroom as a social group and its favorable environment. The second chapter defines bullying and teasing and compares them together. The following practical part gradually characterizes the research sample, goals, hypotheses, methods and research process. The research is conducted on 12 pupils in the 5th year of elementary school and includes a interview using instructions with the teacher of the given class. This is followed by the submission of 6 model situations to the pupils individually and an oral questionnaire with the support of an emotional thermometer. The research ends with the 7th model situation, the solution of which the pupils express with a drawing. The last chapters interpret the results of the entire research and evaluate the research hypothesis.
