Czech Export Strategy and Its Application on Israel

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje uplatnění České exportní strategie 2012-2020 vůči tuzemskému vývozu do státu Izrael. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, do jaké míry přispívá vývoz českého zboží do Izraele k naplnění Strategie za použití metody komparace vývoje statistických dat českého vývozu. Tuzemský vývoz do Izraele jako země mimo vnitřní trh EU bezpochyby přispívá k teritoriální diverzifikaci exportu, což je v souladu s primárním cílem Strategie. Na druhé straně během období platnosti Strategie došlo ke zvýšení produktové koncentrace tuzemského vývozu do Izraele. I přes to se však díky provedené teritoriální a sektorové analýze místního trhu jeví Izrael jako perspektivní odbytiště pro český vývoz a to především díky svému vysokému inovačnímu potenciálu. Právě úspěšné exportní operace mohou vést k novým technologiím a strategickým partnerstvím. Ty pro české vývozce následně znamenají zvýšení přidané hodnoty exportu a také růst jejich konkurenceschopnosti.

Abstract:

Master's thesis deals with the application of the Czech Export Strategy 2012-2020 against Czech exports to Israel. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the extent to which the export of Czech goods to Israel contributes to the fulfilment of the Strategy. The goal is achieved by comparing the statistical data of Czech exports with quantified objectives of the Strategy. Czech exports to Israel (a country outside the EU internal market) undoubtedly contribute to the territorial diversification of exports, which is in line with the Strategy's primary objective. Contrarily, the product concentration of Czech exports to Israel increased during the Strategy period. Nevertheless, the territorial and sectoral analysis performed identifies Israel as a promising market mainly thanks to its high innovation potential. It is successful export operations that can lead to new technologies and strategic partnerships. For Czech exporters, these might subsequently mean an increase in the added value of exports and an increase in their competitiveness.
