Studnets' motivation in the teaching of mathematics at the 2nd grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce řeší problematiku motivace žáků ve výuce matematiky na druhém stupni ZŠ. Cílem bylo vymezení pojmu motivace a následně její dopad a působení ve výuce matematiky a vytvoření návrhu výuky, konkrétně pro žáky 8. ročníku, jenž byli rozděleni na motivovanou a nemotivovanou skupinu. Vyhodnocení probíhalo na základě výuky odlišných skupin. Motivovaná skupina byla doprovázena různými aktivitami, motivací a zábavou, zatímco nemotivovaná skupina byla vedena jako frontální výuka. Výsledky z dotazníkového šetření poukazují na vyšší oblíbenost matematiky u motivované skupiny, avšak výsledky z písemného opakování zase poukazují na lepší znalosti učiva nemotivované skupiny.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of pupils motivation in the teaching of mathematics at the second level of elementary school. The goal was to define the concept of motivation and subsequrntly i tis impact and effect in teaching mathematics and to create a teaching proposal, specifically for 8th grade students, who were divided into motivated and unmotivated groups. The evaluation took place on the basis of the teaching of different groups. The motivated group was accompained by various activities, motivation and entertainment, while the unmotivated group was guided in the ordinary spirit of teaching. The results of the questionnaire survey point to a higher popularity od mathematics among the motivated group, but the results of the written repetition point to a better knowledge of the subject matter of the unmotivated group.
