Comparison of social networks and digital communication in the Czech Republic and Portugal

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou digitální komunikace České republiky a Portugalska prostřednictvím oficiálních webů a marketingové komunikace skrze vybrané sociální sítě s následnou komparací obou zemí.Cílem je zanalyzovat a porovnat komunikaci jednotlivých regionů v rámci sítě a zdrojového trhu a odhadnout a vyhodnotit dopady marketingové komunikace na znalost značky a příjezdů do destinace.Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou definovány základní pojmy z oblasti managementu a marketingu destinace, cestovního ruchu, digitální komunikace a sociálních sítí. Praktická část je zaměřena na Českou republiku a Portugalsko z hlediska počtu hostů a přenocování zahraničních turistů a marketingové komunikace skrze příslušné sociální sítě a web. Na základě stanoveného cíle je definováno pět hypotéz, které jsou v práci postupně zanalyzovány a potvrzeny či vyvráceny.V závěru práce je zhodnocen současný stav, země jsou porovnány mezi sebou a dochází k doporučením, která jsou ve snaze k lepší propagaci obou destinací a zvýšení počtu zahraničních hostů a turistů na území České republiky a Portugalska.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of digital communication in the Czech Republic and Portugal through official websites and marketing communication, focus on selected social networks with subsequent comparison of these countries.The thesis aims are to analyze and compare the communication of individual regions within the network and the source market, estimate and evaluate the impact of marketing communication on brand knowledge and arrivals into the destination.The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of destination management and marketing, tourism, digital communication, and social networks. The practical part is focused on the Czech Republic and Portugal in terms of the number of guests and overnight stays of foreign tourists, marketing communication throw relevant social networks and official websites. Based on the set goal, five hypotheses are defined which are gradually analyzed and confirmed or refuted.At the end of the thesis, the current situation is evaluated, the countries are compared with each other and there are some recommendations to better promote both destinations and increase the number of foreign guests and tourists in the Czech Republic and Portugal.
