Socially activating services for families and children

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá sociálně aktivizačními službami pro rodiny s dětmi, jenž byly jako takové definovány roku 2006 v novém zákoně o sociálních službách. Sociálně aktivizační služby jsou proto nejprve popsány v širším kontextu sociálních služeb, jejichž definice, klasifikace, legislativní kategorizace a také pojetí v rámci konstruktivistického přístupu v sociální práci jsou představeny v první kapitole. Druhá kapitola se již konkrétněji dotýká sociálních služeb pro rodiny s dětmi a představuje jejich pozitivní vývoj směrem k podpoře rodiny jako komplexního systému. Poukazuje jak na činnosti a nedostatky státní péče o potřebné děti a rodiny spočívající v sociálně-právní ochraně dětí, tak na činnosti nestátních subjektů, které se mj. zaměřují právě na sociálně aktivizační služby, jejichž cíle, zásady a náplň jsou detailně popsány. Další kapitola je věnována příjemcům těchto služeb ? rodině, jejím funkcím a transformacím v čase, neboť důsledky změn funkcí a podoby rodiny, stejně jako popsaná problematika dysfunkčních rodin a zanedbávání dítěte, jsou důležitými oblastmi praxe poskytovatelů sociálně aktivizačních služeb. Jejich služby se také často dotýkají otázky hodnocení situace rodiny, přičemž v diplomové práci poukazuji na jeho složitost, důležitost a potřebu inovace. Teoretická část práce je zakončena poznatky o sanaci rodiny, která prostřednictvím sociálně aktivizačních služeb podporuje ohrožené rodiny v zachování či znovuobnovení jejich funkcí tak, aby v nich děti mohly vyrůstat. Výzkumnou část diplomové práce tvoří kolektivní případová studie tří rodin, jenž se ocitly v ohrožující situaci. Cílem kvalitativního výzkumu je zodpovězení otázky týkající se účinnosti sociálně aktivizačních služeb v procesu sanace rodiny. Výsledky výzkumu jsou jednak součástí samotných kasuistik případové studie, a jednak jsou shrnuty v diskuzi, kde jsou srovnávány a hodnoceny v rámci jiných odborných poznatků či výzkumů.

Abstract:

Graduation thesis presents Socially activating services for families and children, which were defined in 2006 in a new law about social services. Socially activating services are therefore firstly decribed in a broader context of social services, whose definition, classification, legal categorization and also conception in the frame of constrictive social work are presented in the first chapter. The second chapter more concretely covers family social services and shows its progress towards support of the family as the complex system. It refers to activities and failures of state care about needed children and families lying in social law protection, and to non-state activities, that focus i.a. on socially activating services, whose goals, principles and content is in detail described. Next chapter is devoted to accepter of these services ? to family, and its functions and transformations over the time, because the consequences of change of family functions and forms, as well as brought up problems of dysfunctional families and children neglect are important areas for providers of socially activating services. Their services often involves the question of family assessment. In this thesis I am showing at its perplexity, importance and need of innovation. The theoretical part is closed with knowledge about family support (redevelopment), that using socially activating services supports vulnerable families in preservation or renewal of their functions, so that children might grow up in their own families. Empirical part of this thesis is composed of case studies of three families, that found themselves in endangering situation. The aim of qualitative research is to answer the question of efficiency of socially activating services in the process of family support. The results of research are part of single case studies and they are also summarised in discussion, where they are compared and evaluated in the frame of other scientific knowledge and researches.
