The implementation of Fair Trade concept in a selected retail chain

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma konceptu Fair Trade ve vybraném maloobchodním řetězci. Hlavním cílem práce je vyhodnotit současný stav zapojení se maloobchodního řetězce Lidl Česká republika do aktivit a podpory konceptu Fair Trade. Teoretická část je zpracována formou literární rešerše. Shrnuje základní informace o koncepci Fair Trade, které jsou stěžejní pro praktickou část. V praktické části je pak analyzován způsob integrace konceptu Fair Trade v maloobchodním řetězci. Sekundární informace jsou doplněny o výsledky primárního šetření prostřednictvím pozorování aktivit a nákupního chování ve vybrané prodejně řetězce a ankety zaměřené na vnímání a názory spotřebitelů na koncepci Fair Trade a její uplatňování v prodejnách Lidl ČR. Návrh doporučení možností rozvoje aktivit maloobchodního řetězce při integraci koncepce Fair Trade využívá informace a poznatky z teoretické i praktické části.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the concept of Fair Trade in a selected retail. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the current involvement of Lidl Czech Republic in the activities and support of the Fair Trade concept. The theoretical part consists of broaden literary review summarizing major information about the concept of Fair Trade, which is crucial for the empirical part. The empirical part then analyses the integration of the Fair Trade concept in the aforementioned chain store. Secondary information is supported by the results of the primary survey, which included observation of activities and shopping behaviour in a selected Lidl store and a survey focusing on consumer perceptions and opinions on the Fair Trade concept and its implementation in Lidl CR stores. The proposed recommendation for possible further development of chain store activities in the integration of the Fair Trade concept uses information and knowledge from the theoretical and empirical part.
