Attitudes of police officers to possible use of psychological care in P CR

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma ?Postoje policistů k možnostem využití psychologické péče v P ČR? se zabývá jedním z aktuálních témat dnešní doba ? působením stresu na příslušníka jedné z poměrně exponovaných profesí - na policistu ? a možnostem psychologické péče, která s tím souvisí. Práce nejprve vymezuje relevantní pojmy (krize, stres, posttraumatická stresová porucha aj.). Následně se věnuje stresu v práci u Policie České republiky, a to příčinám, vzniku a důsledkům stresu policisty, traumatizujícím událostem u policie apod. Předmětem třetí kapitoly je posttraumatická intervenční péče u Policie České republiky. Zde je rozebrána role jednotlivých subjektů (týmu posttraumatické intervenční péče, policejního psychologa a dalších) v rámci posttraumatické intervenční péče. Čtvrtá kapitola přináší výsledky výzkumu k postojům policistů k poskytované psychologické péči.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled ?The Attitude of Policemen to the Possibilities of Psychological Care Provided in the Police Corps of the Czech Republic? deals with one of the hot topics of today ? that of the stress and its effect on members of one of relatively vulnerable professions ? the policemen ? and the possibilities of psychological care associated herewith. The thesis first defines relevant notions (crisis, stress, posttraumatic stress disorder, etc.). Subsequently, it deals with the stress which the policemen are exposed to at work with the Czech Police corps, namely the causes, occurrence and consequences of the policemen´s stress, traumatizing events they go through, etc. The subject of the third chapter is the posttraumatic intervention care provided for the Police of the Czech Republic. The author analyses the role of each participant (the posttraumatic intervention care team, police psychologist, and others) in the posttraumatic intervention care. The fourth chapter describes the results of an inquiry regarding the policemen´s attitude to the psychological care provided.
