Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá filmovým hororem, jeho problematickým vymezením jako žánru, příčinami strachu v tomto žánru a jeho zvukovou složkou. V prvním oddíle se obecně zabývám problematikou vymezení žánru. V druhé kapitole se věnuji hororu a hledám příčiny jeho ztělesněného strachu a jeho definicí. This thesis explores horror as a film genre, and the way the sound techniques are used to cause the emotion of fear. The first part analyses the problem of definition and classification of genre in general. The second part focuses on the genre of horror; it explores the possible sources of fear in general and its embodiments in horrors.
