Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na tématiku mentálního postižení dítěte a jeho vlivu na rodinné soužití a vztahy v rodině se zaměřením na vztah otce k dítěti s mentálním postižením. Narození dítěte vždy představuje zásah do způsobu života rodiny. Když se rodičům narodí dítě s mentálním postižením, může tento fakt značně ovlivnit různé oblasti rodinného systému. Práce se zaměřuje na vývoj vztahu otce k mentálně postiženému dítěti z pohledu matky. Teoretická východiska blíže charakterizují rodinný systém, mentální postižení dítěte, specifika mateřství a otcovství v rodinách s dítětem s mentálním postižením. Praktická část obsahuje případové studie rodin, jejichž členem je dítě s mentálním postižením. Cílem dokumentu je zmapování vývoje vztahu otce k dítěti s mentálním postižením z pohledu matky.

Abstract:

Focusing on the father-child relationship, this diploma thesis deals with the impact an intellectually disabled child may have on the family dynamics. The arrival of a new-born child always poses a challenge to the family dynamics, but the arrival of a child with an intellectual disability is a different kind of challenge altogether and it may profoundly affect the various aspects of a family system. The thesis focuses on the relationship a father has with his intellectually disabled child, from the mother's perspective. The theoretical concepts closely examine a family system, a child's intellectual disability, and the specific aspects of motherhood and fatherhood present in the families with an intellectually disabled child. The practical section includes case studies of families who care for intellectually disabled children. The aim of this thesis is to track the progress of the relationship between a father and his intellectually disabled child, from the mother's perspective.
