Requalification - the way to further job chance

Abstract:

K vypracování mé diplomové práce jsem si zvolila téma Rekvalifikace – cesta k dalšímu pracovnímu uplatnění. Toto téma jsem si zvolila proto, že pracuji na úřadu práce a k informacím o rekvalifikacích mám dobrý přístup. V první části jsem se zaměřila na to, co nezaměstnanost je, jaký byl vývoj nezaměstnanosti v roce 2009 v okrese Most, jaké byly důsledky nezaměstnanosti a kterých rizikových skupin se dotýká. Ve druhé části jsem popsala, co je to rekvalifikace, kdo může být účastníkem rekvalifikace, formy rekvalifikace a organizace provádějící rekvalifikace. Stanovila jsem si pět hypotéz: 1) Domnívám se, že o rekvalifikační kurzy mají zájem spíše muži. 2) Myslím si, že rekvalifikační kurzy navštěvují spíše uchazeči se základním vzděláním. 3) Předpokládám, že je zájem spíše o kurzy s technickým zaměřením. 4) Domnívám se, že kurzy navštěvují spíše uchazeči, kteří jsou v evidenci déle než 1 rok. 5) Doufám, že uchazeči věří, že jim rekvalifikační kurz pomůže získat vhodné zaměstnání. Zvolila jsem metodu dotazníku, protože se domnívám, že vzhledem k tomu, že je anonymní, je důvěryhodná. V závěru mé práce jsem shrnula nové poznatky a uvedla výsledky hypotéz.

Abstract:

I have chosen the topic of retraining, which is a way of facilitating acquiring different employment potential, for development of my diploma thesis. I have chosen this particular topic due to the fact that I work at a labour office and have good access to information on retraining. The first part of my thesis focuses on identification of unemployment and on the development of unemployment in 2009 in the District of Most as well as on the consequences of unemployment and who are the people that are the most risky group in these terms. In the second part of the thesis I dealt with the definition of retraining, with identification of the people that can take part in the retraining process, with individual forms of retraining and with the organisations providing retraining courses. I based my thesis on five hypotheses: 1) I think that the male population is more interested in the retraining courses, rather that the female population. 2) I deem that the retraining courses are attended to a larger extent by applicants having basic educational background. 3) I envisage that the applicants are more interested in technically-oriented courses. 4) I deem that the courses are attended in greater numbers by the applicants that have been registered as unemployed for more than one year. 5) I hope that the job applicants do believe that the retraining courses will facilitate finding appropriate jobs. I opted for questionnaire-based methodology as I believe that better confidence can be achieved in this way due to the anonymous nature of the methodology. The final section of the thesis includes processing of the new findings and presentation of the outcomes concerning the hypotheses.
