Possibilities of transformation of profit on the tax base of entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předložená práce je zaměřena na proces úpravy výsledku hospodaření zjištěného z účetnictví na základ daně z příjmů právnických osob u kapitálových obchodních společností. V teoretické části práce je provedena deskripce meziročních změn právních předpisů v období od 01.05.2004 do 31.12.2018, které mohou mít vliv na stanovení základu daně, dále jsou v této části práce charakterizovány rozdíly mezi účetním a daňovým pojetí nákladů a výnosů a provedena jejich komparace. Na úvod praktické části práce jsou definovány zásady pro správné stanovení základu daně a tyto zásady jsou dále aplikovány při transformaci výsledku hospodaření na základ daně u fiktivního poplatníka daně z příjmů právnických osob. Závěrem jsou identifikovány nejčastější chyby, kterých se poplatníci dopouštějí a formulována doporučení, jak se těmto chybám vyhnout.

Abstract:

The presented thesis is focused on the process of adjusting the economic result from the accounting to the corporate income tax base for capital companies. In the theoretical part there is a description of the year-on-year changes of legal regulations in the period from 1 May 2004 to 31 December 2018, which may have an impact on the determination of the tax base. Furthermore, in this part the differences between the accounting and tax concepts of costs and revenues are characterized and compared. At the beginning of the practical part of the thesis there are defined the principles for the correct determination of the tax base and these principles are further applied in the transformation of the economic result to the tax base for the fictitious corporate income taxpayer. Finally, the most common mistakes are identified and make recommendations on how to avoid these mistakes.
