The role of wine associations in regional development

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Role vinařských sdružení v regionálním rozvoji se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem spolku Vín originální certifikace Modré hory. Cílem práce je identifikace klíčových faktorů vlivu vinařských sdružení a vinařského turismu na rozvoj vinařských regionů v České republice. Pro zpřesnění byly stanoveny dílčí cíle: zjistit, zdali se konkrétně VOC Modré hory podílejí na rozvoji regionu a jestli vykazují známky sociální skupiny. Diplomová práce je rozdělená do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola, teoretická část, se zabývá teoretickými východisky pro výzkum. Nejprve popisuje historii vinařství a vinohradnictví ve světě i v České republice, dále popisuje klasifikaci vín v České republice, rozebírá vinařskou podoblast Velké Pavlovice, regionální rozvoj, který je důležitý pro splnění cíle práce a v závěru této části je obsáhlá kapitola Sociologie, která slouží jako metodika pro výzkum. V druhé části práce, v analytické kapitole. je nejprve podrobná metodika a itinerář návštěv u vinařů, poté popis jednotlivých vinařství, která byla pro výzkum oslovena a ve třetí části této kapitoly je prezentace výsledků z výzkumu pomocí metody sociometrie a selektivní transkripce. Sociometrie je prezentována pomocí sociogramu a byly použity dvě otázky z rozhovorů týkající se spolupráce mezi vinaři a vyjadřování autority. Selektivní transkripce vyplývá ze zbylých otázek, které byly rozděleny do pěti tematických okruhů, a to sociální kapitál, habitus jako vnášení vlastního názoru do společnosti, regionální identita, formální sdružení jako pomoc při rozvoji regionu a pohled vinařů na českého konzumenta. Tyto tematické okruhy pomohly při zodpovězení výzkumné otázky a zároveň napomohly k potvrzení hypotézy, která předpovídá, že VOC Modré hory by mohly vykazovat znaky sociální skupiny, jelikož mezi sebou jednotlivý vinaři úzce spolupracují a naplňují sociální kapitál. Poslední část práce se zabývá návrhy pro lepší fungování VOC Modré hory do budoucna a pro důraznější regionální rozvoj.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis entitled The role of wine associations in regional development deals with the qualitative research of Wine original certification (VOC) Modré hory. The aim of this work is to identify key factors of the influence of wine associations and wine tourism on the development of wine regions in the Czech republic. For clarification, partial goals were set: to ascertain whether wine associations of the original Modré hory participates in the region and whether as a group show the characteristics of a social group. The diploma thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter, the theoretical part, deals with the theoretical basis for research. The first chapter, the theoretical part, deals with the theoretical basis for research. First of all, it describes the history of viticulture, viticulture in the world and in the Czech Republic. Further, it describes the classification of wines in the Czech Republic, discusses the wine subregion Velké Pavlovice and regional development, which is important to meet the goal of this thesis. At the end of this first chapter there is a comprehensive part Sociology which serves as a methodology for the research. In the second chapter, in its analytical part there are detailed methodology and itinerary of winemakers´ visits, detailed descriptions of individual wineries addressed for research and in the third part of this chapter the presentation of research results using sociometry and selective transcription. Sociometry is presented by using a sociogram. Two questions from interviews concerning cooperation between winemakers were used as well as the expression of authority. Selective transcription stems from the remaining questions divided into five thematic areas, namely social capital, habitus as bringing own opinion into society, regional identity, formal association as the aid in the development of the region and the winemakers´ view on the Czech consumer. These thematic areas helped to answer research questions and at the same time helped to confirm the hypothesis that the VOC Modré hory could show the characteristics of a social group, as individual winemakers work closely together and fill social capital. The last part of the thesis deals with proposals for better functioning of VOC Modré hory in the future and for stronger regional development.
