Islamic Culture is perceived as conflicting inhabitants of Ostrava?

Abstract:

Ve své Bakalářské práci jsem se zaměřil na postoj obyvatel Moravskoslezského kraje k uprchlické situaci a vnímání muslimů jako skupiny obyvatel. Rozdělil jsem respondenty do dvou skupin. První skupinu tvořili lidé, kteří se již setkali s muslimy a mají tedy osobní zkušenost. Naopak druhou skupinu respondentů tvoří lidé, jejichž pohled na muslimy je utvářen pouze mediálním obrazem. Očekával jsem pak, že pohledy obou skupin se budou lišit v některých zásadních bodech jako je postoj k uprchlické situaci a ochotě pomáhat uprchlíkům, zdrojích informací nebo obavy z terorismu. Abych si potvrdil nebo vyvrátil tyto a další předpoklady, jsem provedl kvantitativní výzkum a provedl jeho analýzu.

Abstract:

In my thesis I focused on the attitude of the population to the Moravian-Silesian region refugee situation and the perception of Muslims as groups. I divided the respondents into two groups. The first group consisted of people who have already met with Muslims and therefore have personal experience. Conversely, the second group of respondents are people whose view of Muslims is shaped only media image. I expected then that the views of both groups will differ in some fundamental points as the attitude towards the refugee situation and willingness to help refugees, sources of information or fear of terrorism. Just to confirm or refute these and other assumptions I conducted quantitative research and conducted its analysis.
