Danger sources of burnout at probation officers in selected Probation and Mediation Service

Abstract:

Práce hledá odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku, která zní: Které své činnosti vnímají pracovníci Probační a mediační služby jako zdroj ohrožení syndromem vyhoření? V teoretické části práce je definován pojem syndrom vyhoření, Probační a mediační služba jako organizace a rozdělení pracovníků na úředníky a asistenty. Dále jsou v první části definovány jednotlivé činnosti Probační a mediační služby a pojem vnímání, především sociální vnímání. Zvolena byla kvalitativní výzkumná strategie a jako technika sběru dat polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Jednotlivé rozhovory byly vedeny s pracovníky vybraného střediska PMS, konkrétně s probačními úředníky. Pro zodpovězení hlavní výzkumné otázky byly vytvořeny tři dílčí výzkumné otázky, které vycházejí z dimenzí sociálního vnímání, kterými jsou životní zkušenosti, míra informovanosti a aktuální motivace. Na základě zjištěných poznatků přinesla práce odpověď, že jako zdroj ohrožení syndromem vyhoření nejvíce vnímají pracovníci PMS probační a administrativní činnosti. V závěru uvádím výsledky výzkumu a doporučení pro výzkumy další.

Abstract:

The work is searching the answer to the main research question, that is: Which activity do the staff of the Probation and Mediation Service perceive as a source of danger of burnout? The theoretical part defines the term burnout, Probation and Mediation Service as an organization and partition of staff officials and assistants. Furthermore, in the first part there are defined the particular activities of Probation and Mediation Service and the term of perception, especially social perception. It was chosen qualitative research strategy and as a data collection technique the semi-structured interview. Individual interviews were led with employees selected PMS centers, concretely with probation officers. There were created three sub research questions to answer the main research questions, based on the dimensions of social perceptions, such as life experiences, current level of awareness and motivation. The work has brought the answer, based on the findings, that as a source of threat of burnout most officers perceive PMS probation and administrative activities. At the conclusion of the work there are results of research and recommendations for further research.
