Výuka angličtiny mladších žáků za pomoci literatury

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá použití literatury při učení angličtiny mladších žáků. Pro tuto výuku byla vytvořena kniha a učební plány, které byly poté využity v hodinách. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část zkoumá čtení a literaturu, poskytuje popis různých principů, které se užívají při učení čtení. Dále pak popisuje různé přístupy k učení a faktory ovlivňující učení mladších žáků. Práce taktéž popisuje aktivity, které mohou být využity při zakomponování příběhů do učení. Empirická část diplomové práce se zabývá představením vytvořené knihy a učebních plánů. Ty byly pilotovány ve dvou skupinách žáků a výsledky těchto hodin byly pak analyzovány. Po analýze výsledků byly zhodnoceny cíle diplomové práce a to: jestli materiály a aktivity, které byly vybrány pro učení, podpořily zájem dětí o čtení jako takové a taky o čtecí hodiny v budoucnu. Cílem knihy a učebních plánů bylo zjistit, jestli byly navržené vhodně pro věk a úroveň angličtiny dětí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines the use of literature for teaching English to young learners. For these teaching, a book as well as lesson plans were created and used in the lessons. The thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part deals with reading and literature as such, it provides different principles of teaching reading as well as types of reading, or motivation. Throughout the theoretical part, the teaching approaches and factors of teaching young learners are examined, providing various activities which may be used to complement the stories. The empirical part deals with presenting the created book as well as the lesson plans. These were piloted on two groups of young learners whereas the outcomes of the lessons had been analyzed. Through these outcomes, the aims of the thesis were evaluated: if the materials and activities used for teaching encouraged learners to future reading as such, or to be a part of the reading lesson again. The aims of the book and the lesson plans were to examine if they were designed appropriately for the age and the level of English of the learners.
