Intergenerational learning in the family

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem mezigenerační učení v rodině. Cílem práce je poznat, popsat a interpretovat průběh a formy tohoto typu učení. Práce vymezuje problematiku současné rodiny, pojmy generace a učení a rozebírá mezigenerační učení v rodině. Dále je popsána metodologie kvantitativního výzkumu, jehož cílem je prostřednictvím dotazníku zjistit, jakým způsobem je realizováno mezigenerační učení v rodině a co je jeho obsahem. Hlavním zjištěním je, že mezigenerační učení je obousměrný proces, kde starší generace hrají klíčovou roli v předávání znalostí, dovedností a postojů. Mladší generace dominuje v předávání dovedností z oblasti informačních technologií. Použité metody pro naplnění cílů jsou analýza, komparace a syntéza. V závěru práce je navržen směr pro další výzkum v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of intergenerational learning in the family. The aim of the thesis is to understand, describe, and interpret the process and forms of this type of learning. It delineates the issues of contemporary families, the concepts of generation and learning, and examines intergenerational learning within the family. Furthermore, it describes the methodology of quantitative research, which aims to ascertain through a questionnaire how intergenerational learning is carried out within families and what its content is. The main finding is that intergenerational learning is a two-way process, where older generations play a key role in transmitting knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Younger generations dominate in transmitting skills in the field of information technology. The methods used to achieve the goals are analysis, comparison, and synthesis. In conclusion, the thesis proposes directions for further research in this area.
