The thesis is focused on the concept of hate crimes and its application in the Czech criminal law. It comprehensively explains the essence of the concept and ideas on which it is based. A part of the thesis reflects diverse, but nonuniform terminology and clarifies related phenomena such as extremism, racism, anti-Semitism and hate speech.
