Interpretation Theory of Umberto Eco

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Teorie interpretace Umberta Eca“ je shrnutím poznatků jednoho z nejvlivnějších žijících sémiotiků na téma „interpretace díla s estetickou funkcí“. V práci jsou vybrány jednotlivé faktory, které Eco zavádí nebo se jim intenzivně věnuje a ovlivňuje tak jejich koncepci. Mezi nejvýraznější základní body Ecova učení patří faktory modelového a empirického čtenáře/autora a trojice intentio lectoris, auctoris a operis. Tyto základní koncepty jsou pak doplněny dalšími, aby vytvořily jistý terminologický základ pro hlavní stať práce pojednávající o konceptu otevřeného a uzavřeného textu a interpretačními problémy s tím spojenými.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Interpretation Theory of Umberto Eco“is a knowledge summary of the work of the most influential living semiotic theorist dealing with topic „interpretation of work with aesthetic function”. There are several factors chosen in the thesis, which Eco invented or he is intensively working with. The most pronounced points of Eco’s doctrine are factors of model or empirical reader / author or triad intentio lectoris, auctoris and operis. These terms are supplemented with other ones to create certain terminological base for the main text dealing with concept of open and closed work and interpretation problems connected with.
