The Influence of the Classroom Atmosphere on Pupils´ Achievement

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou klimatu třídy a jeho vlivu na školní úspěšnost žáka. Cílem práce je srovnání klimatu v 7., 8. a 9. třídách několika základních škol a zjištění míry jeho vlivu na studijní výsledky žáků. V teoretické části jsou definovány základní pojmy prostředí, atmosféra, klima školy, klima školní třídy. Dále jsou zde uvedeny možnosti diagnostiky klimatu třídy a faktory, které ho ovlivňují, a v neposlední řadě také nastíněn problém školní úspěšnosti žáka. Praktická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na popis provedeného výzkumu jeho cíle, hypotézy, výzkumný problém, charakteristiku výzkumného souboru. Následuje popis použité výzkumné metody a průběh realizace samotného výzkumu. V závěru práce jsou zveřejněny výsledky šetření ve třídách, jejich komparace se studijními výsledky žáků a ověření hypotéz.

Abstract:

The bachelor work deals with the issue of climate in the classroom and its impact on the study success of the pupils. The aim of the thesis is to compare the classroom atmosphere in the 7th, 8th and 9th grade in several primary schools and to measure its impact on the achievements of the students. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts environment, atmosphere, climate of the classroom. Subsequently, it describes the possibilities of diagnosing the classroom climate and the factors influencing it. This section also outlines the evaluation of study accomplishments of the pupils. The practical part of the bachelor work is focused on the description of the carried-out research its objectives, hypotheses, research problems, research characteristics. It describes the deployed research methods and the research execution. The results of surveys conducted in selected classrooms are published in the conclusion of the work, together with their comparison with the study results of the involved pupils and the verification of the hypotheses.
