Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na diplomatické aktivity OSN v Libanonu v období Druhé libanonské války. V úvodu práce popisuje historické působení OSN a jejich jednotek UNIFIL v Libanonu. Následně práce charakterizuje prostředí před Druhou libanonskou válkou, včetně významných aktérů konfliktu. Práce poté přiblíží i samotnou Druhou libanonskou válku. Stěžejní část práce se věnuje diplomatickým činnostem, které UNIFIL po válce vykonávaly v rámci mandátu Rezoluce Rady bezpečnosti OSN 1701, která bude taktéž charakterizována. Cílem bakalářské práce je provést analýzu stanovených diplomatických aktivit, které měly vést k efektivnímu naplňování rezoluce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the diplomatic activities of UN in Lebanon during the Second Lebanon War. The outset of the thesis describes the historical activities of the UN and their UNIFIL troops in Lebanon. Subsequently, the work characterizes the environment before the Second Lebanon War, including important actors in the conflict. The thesis will then approach the Second Lebanon War itself. The main part of the work is devoted to diplomatic activities that UNIFIL carried out after the war under the mandate of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which will also be characterized. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to analyze the established diplomatic activities that should lead to the effective implementation of the resolution.
