Scootering as part of rehabilitation after lumbal spine herniation surgery

Abstract:

Tato práce se snaží prokázat pozitivní vliv koloběhu dvou pacientů po dekompresi v oblasti dolní bederní páteře doplněním rehabilitačního plánu o koloběh, realizací koloběhu a vyhodnocením v rámci dvou kazuistik. Teoretická část se zabývá obecným popisem bederní páteře, patologií a možnostmi léčby a rehabilitace. V praktické části rozšiřuji rehabilitační plán dvou pacientů v Lázních Darkov a.s. o koloběh, který proběhl formou 8 lekcí trvajících 30 minut. Pro získání dat bylo provedeno vstupní a výstupní vyšetření formou kineziologického rozboru, které bylo pro grafické znázornění doplněno vyšetřením dle Computer kinesiology (CK). Rehabilitační léčba doplněná o koloběh prokázala u obou pacientů zlepšení jak HSSP, tak i kořenové léze na dolní končetině. Předpoklad pozitivního vlivu koloběhu v rámci rehabilitačního plánu u pacientů po operaci výhřezu bederní meziobratlové ploténky bude nutné potvrdit na větším souboru pacientů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the positive impact of incorporating scootering into the rehabilitation plan of two patients after decompression surgery in the lower lumbar spine with scootering, implementing the training program, and evaluating the outcomes within two case studies. The theoretical part provides a general description of the lumbar spine, its pathologies, and treatment and rehabilitation options. In the practical part, the rehabilitation plan of two patiens at Lázně Darkov a.s. is expanded to include scootering, wich consist of eight lessions lasting 30 minutes each. To gather data, pre - and post-assessments were conducted using kinematic analysis, supplemented by examinations using Computer Kinesiology (CK) for graphical representation. The rehabilitation treatment supplemented with circuit training demonstrated improvement in both the deep stabilizing systém and radiculopathy of the lower limb in both patients. The assumption of the positive influence of scootering within the rehabilitation plan for patients after lumbar disc herniation surgery will need to be confirmed in larger patient sample.
