Local Agenda 21 as an instrument of public management

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou místní Agendy 21 v obecném přehledu a analýzou místní Agendy 21 v městské části Prahy 12 a městské části Prahy 13. V první části práce je uveden nezbytný teoretický rámec, týkající se modernizace veřejné správy, udržitelného rozvoje a místní Agendy 21. Druhá část práce je praktická, zaměřuje se na proces implementace a realizace místní Agendy 21 v městských částech Prahy 12 a Prahy 13 a následně na jejich vzájemnou komparaci, což je cílem práce. Po analýze a komparaci implementace a realizace místní Agendy 21 v obou městských částech můžeme konstatovat, že její realizace se liší z hlediska financování, počtu a druhu pořádaných akcí a metodě sdílené dobré praxe. Význam zavádění a uplatňování místní Agendy 21 pro současný a budoucí rozvoj Prahy 12 a Prahy 13 uvádím v závěru práce.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the local Agenda 21 in a general overview and analysis of the local Agenda 21 in the districts of Prague 12 and Prague 13. The first part of the thesis presents the necessary theoretical framework concerning modernization of public administration, sustainable development and the local Agenda 21. The second part of the thesis is practical, focusing on the process of implementation and putting the local Agenda 21 into the practice, in both the urban areas of Prague 12 and Prague 13 and consequently on their mutual comparison, which is the aim of this thesis. After analyzing and comparing the implementation and realization of the Local Agenda 21 in both city districts, it can be said that its implementation differs in terms of financing, the number and type of organized events and the method of the shared good practice. The importance of the implementation and realization of the Local Agenda 21 for the current and future development of Prague 12 and Prague 13 is presented at the end of the thesis.
