Analysis of credit unions in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá současným postavením družstevních záložen v komparaci s bankami. V práci je nejdříve vymezen bankovní sektor se zaměřením na družstevní záložny a popsán historický vývoj družstevních záložen v České republice. Následující část obsahuje finanční analýzy u konkrétních zástupců družstevních záložen působících na území České republiky. Čtvrtá část je věnována komparaci družstevních záložen s ostatními finančními institucemi. V závěru je zhodnoceno současné postavení družstevních záložen v České republice.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with present positin of credit unions in comparison with the banks. In the tesis is firstly defined banking sector focussing on credit unions and descibed historici development of credit unions in the Czech Republic. The following section comprises financial analyze of the concrete representatives of credit unions operating in the Czech Republic. The fourth section is devoted to the comparison credit unions with the others financial institutes. In the conclusion is evaluated present position of credit unions in the Czech Republic.
