Bakalářská práce se věnuje kanadské spisovatelce Margaret Atwoodové jakožto jedné z ženských představitelek postmoderního směru. Práce vymezuje pojem postmodernismus a popisuje jeho prvky v literatuře. Hlavními oblastmi v dílech autorky jsou politika, postavení žen ve společnosti, soužití s přírodou, budoucnost civilizace a vztahy žen a mužů.
