Evaluation of students from the subject "Social Studies Basics" in high schools

Abstract:

Práce si dala za cíl zmapovat problematiku hodnocení a zkoušení v předmětu Základy společenských věd (ZSV) na středních školách v České Republice. Byla rozložena do dvou oddílů, přičemž první tvoří teoretickou část práce a druhý část výzkumnou. Teoretická část se věnuje zmapování systému středního školství, metod výuky předmětu ZSV a forem hodnocení a zkoušení, jež se předmětu ZSV týkají. Praktická část je zaměřena na vlastní výzkumné šetření, které proběhlo dotazníkovou formou a bylo praktikováno na vzorku sedmnácti učitelů ZSV z různých středních škol po celé ČR. Výzkumné šetření stanovuje celkem jedenáct hypotéz, které se pokouší ověřit. Některé hypotézy byly alespoň částečně potvrzeny, celkové výsledky jsou shrnuty v práci. Na závěr práce je umístěna diskuse, která kriticky hodnotí problematiku i přínos proběhnutého výzkumu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the problems of evaluation and testing of the Social Studies Basics subject in high schools in the Czech Republic. It is divided into two parts. The first one is a theoretical part and the second one is a research part. The theoretical part focuses on a depiction of secondary educational system, methods of teaching of the Social Studies Bacics subject, and types of evaluation and testing that are related to Social Studies Bacics. The practical part provides a research work itself. It has a form of a questionnaire and the research was done on the sample of seventeen teachers of the Social Studies Bacics subject from different secondary schools all over the Czech Republic. The research sets eleven hypothesis that are being verifying. Some of the hypothesis were partly confirmed, the overall results are summed up in the dissertation. The last part includes the discussion that critically evaluates problems and a contribution of the executed research.
