Analysis of the Labor Market in the Czech Republic in Connection with the Onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem trhu práce v ČR v souvislosti s nástupem pandemie Covid-19. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V teoretické části je proveden rozbor literární rešerše zabývající se problematikou trhu práce a s tím spojenou nezaměstnanost. Praktická část bakalářské práce za sledované období 2018-2021 je zaměřena nejprve na společenské a ekonomické změny, které nastaly s nástupem pandemie Covid-19. Praktická část zahrnuje také analýzu trhu práce v ČR z pohledu poptávky a nabídky pracovních míst, vývoj zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti. Poslední část se bude zabývat vztahem nezaměstnanosti a HDP. Všechny údaje v praktické části budou zpracovány pomocí metod popisné statistiky vycházející primárně z dat Českého statistického úřadu a Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí. Závěrem práce budou doporučení ke zlepšení aktuální situace na trhu práce v ČR a zamezení vysoké míry nezaměstnanosti a následné shrnutí celé praktické části.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the development of the labor market in the Czech Republic in connection with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The work is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part there is an analysis of literary research dealing with labor market issues and the associated unemployment. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis for the period 2018-2021 is focused first on the social and economic changes that occurred with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The practical part also includes an analysis of the labor market in the Czech Republic in terms of demand and supply of jobs, employment development and unemployment. The last part will deal with the relationship between unemployment and GDP. All data in the practical part will be processed using the methods of descriptive statistics based primarily on data from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. At the end of the work will be recommendations to improve the current situation on the labor market in the Czech Republic and prevent high unemployment and a subsequent summary of the entire practical part.
