Activities and Competences of Social Workers in Health Care

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci se věnuji specifikům profese sociálního pracovníka v oblasti zdravotnictví. Zabývám se tím, jaké činnosti tvoří hlavní náplň práce sociálních pracovníků ve zdravotnictví a jaké kompetence jsou pro tuto profesi důležité. Rovněž se zabývám postavením sociálního pracovníka v multidisciplinárním týmu a vnímáním významu této role z pozice respondentů. Věnuji se také mapování potřeby metodického zázemí pro sociální práci ve zdravotnictví. Práce poukazuje na výzvy a problematické aspekty této oblasti sociální práce.

Abstract:

In my bachelor's thesis I focus on the specifics of the profession of a social worker in the health care sector. I deal with what activities constitute the main work of social workers in the health care sector and what competences are important for this profession. I also examine the position of the social worker in a multidisciplinary team and the perceived importance of this role from the respondents' perspective. I am also concerned with mapping the need for methodological background for social work in health care. The thesis highlights the challenges and problematic aspects of this area of social work.
