Nine Faces of Death: Spirituality in the Contemporary Japanese Art of Fuyuko Matsui
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá motivem devíti vzezření smrti v sérii pěti závěsných svitků současné japonské malířky Fujuko Macui v souvislosti s jeho původem v buddhismu, literárním ztvárněním v krátké japonské básni „waka“ a japonskou technikou malby „nihonga“.
Abstract:
This thesis concerns a motif of nine faces of death in the series o hanging scrolls of a contemporary japanese painter Fuyuko Matsui in context of the motif's origin in Buddhism, its literary form in the short japanese poem “waka” and japanese painting technique “nihonga“.
