Developing English Speaking Skills At Primary School

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou dovednosti verbální komunikace ve výuce anglického jazyka na 1. stupni základních škol. Cílem této práce je rozkrýt problematiku rozvíjení ústní komunikace v průběhu výuky a detailněji ji porozumět. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na celkovou dovednost ústní komunikace a dále se zaměřuje na podstatu vyvíjení komunikační dovednosti u žáků. Empirická část diplomové práce zkoumá vztah žáků a učitele k dané dovednosti a zobrazuje, a jak je reálně vnímána oběma subjekty při aktivní komunikaci. Následně rozebírá, jakým způsobem a jak často je vyvíjena ve výuce anglického jazyka. Na základě získaných výsledků poskytuje odpovědi k předem určeným výzkumným otázkám a cílům.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of verbal communication skills in English language teaching in primary school. The aim of this work is to uncover the issue of developing oral communication during teaching and to understand it in more detail. The theoretical part focuses on the overall skill of oral communication and further focuses on the essence of developing pupils communication skill. The empirical part of the thesis examines the relationship of the students and the teacher in speaking skill and shows how it is actually perceived by both subjects during active verbal communication. Subsequently, it analyzes how and how often it is developed in the teaching of the English language. Based on the obtained results, it provides answers to predetermined research questions and aims.
