Requirements specification methodology and its implementation in software development

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se bude zabývat návrhem metodiky pro zadávání funkčních požadavků na systém společnosti a následnou implementací změn do procesu zadávání funkčních požadavků. Hlavním cílem bude návrh metodiky včetně šablony pro vytváření funkčních požadavků na systém. Vedle toho se bude výzkum soustředit na dodatečné dílčí cíle, mezi něž patří sestavení, vyhodnocení a analýza dotazníkového šetření. Pozornost bude věnována analýze soudobých pramenů a konceptů z oblasti práce s požadavky na systém a také srovnání stavu před a po nasazení metodiky za pomoci zvolených metrik s celkovým zhodnocením přínosu implementace metodiky do bankovního prostředí. Analýza a sestavení metodického pokynu byly úspěšně splněny, k implementaci do praxe nedošlo, a to z důvodů, které budou podrobně vysvětleny v textu práce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis will deal with the design of a methodology for specifying functional requirements for the company's system and the subsequent implementation of changes to the process of specifying functional requirements. The main objective will be to design a methodology including a template for creating functional requirements for the system. In addition, the research will focus on additional sub-objectives, which include the design, evaluation and analysis of a questionnaire survey. Attention will be paid to the analysis of contemporary sources and concepts in the area of working with system requirements, as well as a comparison of the state before and after the deployment of the methodology using selected metrics, with an overall assessment of the benefits of implementing the methodology in a banking environment. While the analysis and compilation of the methodology guideline were successfully completed, the implementation into practice did not occur, for reasons that will be explained in detail in the body of the thesis.
