Burnout - Incidence among the Municipal Police Prevention Group Members

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zvanou ?syndrom vyhoření?. Skládá se z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. V první kapitole vymezuji pojem a definice syndromu vyhoření, příčiny, příznaky, průběh a prevenci z dostupné literatury. V druhé kapitole se zaměřuji na pomáhající profesi strážníka, na předpoklady k výkonu profese, stresory, které mohou mít vliv na vznik syndromu vyhoření a také na diagnostiku burnout. V praktické části realizuji výzkum pomocí anonymního dotazníkového šetření, metodou dotazníku MBI ? Maslach Burnout Inventory, který je hojně využíván ve výzkumných studiích. Zjištěná data byla následně zpracována a výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 38 strážníků, z toho 29 žen (76 %) a 9 mužů (24 %) s věkovým průměrem 43,5 let a průměrnou délkou praxe 15 let. Vysoký stupeň vyhoření byl zjištěn ve faktoru emocionálního vyčerpání v dimenzi intenzita pocitů u 34 % respondentů, ve faktoru depersonalizace v dimenzi intenzita pocitů u 37 % respondentů a ve faktoru sníženého pracovního výkonu v dimenzi intenzita pocitů u 29 % respondentů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue called ?Burnout?. It consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter defines the concept and definition of burnout, causes, symptoms, course and prevention from the available literature. The second chapter focuses on helping profession - police officer, on the potential to carry out this profession, the stressors that may influence the origin of burnout and also on diagnostics of burnout. In the practical part I carry out the research by using an anonymous questionnaire survey, using a questionnaire MBI - Maslach Burnout Inventory, which is widely used in research studies. The observed data were subsequently analyzed and the research sample consisted of 38 officers, including 29 females (76 %) and 9 males (24 %) with a mean age of 43.5 years and an average length of 15 years of experience. The high degree of burnout was found in the factor of emotional exhaustion where the intensity of feelings was found with 34 % of respondents; in the factor of depersonalization the intensity of feelings was found with 37 % of respondents; and in the factor of reduced work performance the intensity of feelings was found with 29 % of the respondents.
