Analýza efektivnosti vysokých škol

Abstract:

Financování vysokých škol je velmi důležitým tématem, které ovlivňuje vzdělanost národa. Cílem práce je pomocí metody analýzy datových obalů a shlukové analýzy statisticky porovnat státní a veřejné vysoké školy. Získané výsledky porovnávám s již existujícími pracemi na toto téma. Metoda analýzy datových obalů je optimalizační metodou vícekriteriálního rozhodování a shluková analýza je metodou klasifikační analýzy. Analýza obsahuje 26 veřejných vysokých škol a 2 státní vysoké školy v České republice. Každou vysokou školu charakterizuje 8 proměnných: počet studentů, počet absolventů, náklady, výnosy, počet publikací WoS, počet publikací Scopus, počet akademických pracovníků, počet vědeckých pracovníků. Náklady a výnosy jsou pro meziroční porovnání uvedeny v běžných cenách roku 2017. Cílem této práce je rozdělení vysokých škol do shluků a určení efektivity jednotlivých vysokých škol. Výsledkem bakalářské práce je zjištění, že velké vysoké školy, které jsou obecně vnímané jako prestižní, dosahovaly efektivních hodnot v celém sledovaném období.

Abstract:

Higher education funding is a very important issue that influences the education of the nation. The aim of the thesis is to compare the state and public universities statistically using the method of data envelopment analysis and cluster analysis. I compare the results with existing works on this topic. Data envelopment analysis is an optimization method of multi-criteria decision making and cluster analysis is a method of classification analysis. The analysis includes 26 public universities and 2 state universities in the Czech Republic. Each university is characterized by 8 variables: number of students, number of graduates, costs, revenues, number of WoS publications, number of Scopus publications, number of academics, number of researchers. Costs and revenues are presented in current prices of 2017 for the year-on-year comparison. The aim of this thesis is to divide universities into clusters and determine the effectiveness of each university. The result of the thesis is the finding that large universities, which are generally perceived as prestigious, achieved effective values during the reference period.
