Cílem této práce je podat přehled o poli centrálního clearingu CDS kontraktů a zhodnotit jeho pozitiva a negativa. Popisuji, jak probíhá vývoj regulace v této oblasti. Také se zabývám příčinami, které vedly regulatorní orgány k zavedení této povinnosti a to především těmi, které jsou spojeny s finanční krizí. This thesis aims to describe the field of central clearing of credit default swaps and asses its pros and cons. It describes development of regulation in this field, especially mandatory central clearing. I also concern with causes of installation of these obligations, like financial crisis.
