Social benefits at parental leave/care in the context of gender equality implementation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá současnou legislativní úpravou pobírání rodičovského příspěvku v rámci státního systému sociální podpory. Práce má podobu kvalitativní studie a je založena především na analýze vybraných textů a zpráv MPSV a relevantních sociologických textů a studií. Výchozím teoretickým rámcem jsou teorie produkce a reprodukce genderových norem v sociálním řádu, zejména pak teorie S. Harding v rovině symbolického univerza. Cílem této práce je představit podobu současného systému státní sociální podpory rodičovství v rámci genderových vztahů a pečovatelské role v rodině. Práce je zaměřena především na zkoumání míry genderové senzitivity současné úpravy pobírání rodičovského příspěvku a jeho vlivu na rovné postavení mužů a žen v rodině i ve společnosti

Abstract:

This paper deals with the current legislative amendment to parental benefits within the state social support benefits. This thesis has a form of qualitative study and is primary based on the analysis of the selected texts and statements by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and relevant sociological texts. The theoretical background of the thesis draws on the theories of production and reproduction of gender order in social area, especially Harding´s theory of symbolic universe. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the form of current social support benefits in the field of parent role within gender relations and the role of a minder in a family. The paper focuses on the research of gender sensitivity range of the current social system supporting parental care and its impact on the equal position of men and women in the family as well as in the society.
