Analysis of deadlift technique

Abstract:

Mrtvý tah patří v rámci silového trojboje mezi nejkomplexnější cvik ze všech. Při provádění tohoto cviku je potřeba využívat mnoho svalových skupin (Piper & Waller, 2001). V průběhu času se technika vyvíjela a v dnešní době máme mnoho technik, jako například konvenční technika a technika sumo (McGuigan Michael R.M.; Wilson, 1996). Cílem této práce bylo popsat kinematické rozdíly mezi technikami mrtvého tahu a následně zjistit, zda se při mrtvém tahu zapojují správné svalové partie. Výzkumný soubor tvořili 2 aktivní sportovci (věk: 21?1; výška: 181?7; hmotnost: 84?1). Pro sběr kinematických dat bylo využito systému Qualisys a data o svalové aktivitě byla sbírána systémem Delsys pomocí EMG sensorů na dolní končetině. U konvenční techniky docházelo k větší extenzi kyčelního kloubu oproti technice Sumo ve fázi dotažení. Rozdíly v hlezenním kloubu lze přisoudit samotnému postavení dolních končetin u jednotlivých technik. Dále bylo zjištěno zapojení svalů, že v první fázi se zapojují primárně Vastus lateralis a Erectus spinae. Dále se zapojují Gluteus maximus, Biceps femoris a stále pracuje Erectus spinae, kde dochází k dotažení a zakončení tahu. Následně dochází ke spuštění osy, při čemž pracují hlavně Biceps femoris a Erectus spinae. Tato práce přináší prvotní výsledky v této problematice, je však zapotřebí dalšího zkoumání na větším vzorku lidí.

Abstract:

Deadlift i sone of the most complex exercises of all in powerlifting. Many muscle groups need to be used to perform this exercise (Piper & Waller, 2001). Over time, the technique has evolved and today we have many techniques, such as the conventional technique and the sumo technique (McGuigan Michael R.M .; Wilson, 1996). The aim of this work was to describe the kinematic differences between deadlift techniques and then to determine whether the correct muscle parts are involved in deadlift. The research group consisted of 2 active athletes (age: 21 ? 1; height: 181 ? 7; weight: 84 ? 1). The Qualisys system was used to collect kinematic data and muscle activity data were collected by the Delsys system using EMG sensors on the lower limb. With the conventional technique, there was a greater extension of the hip joint compared to the Sumo technique in the tightening phase. The differences in the ankle joint can be attributed to the position of the lower limbs in the individual techniques. Furthermore, it was found that the involvement of muscles in the first phase involves primarily Vastus lateralis and Erectus spinae. Gluteus maximus and Biceps femoris are also involved, and Erectus spinae is still working, where the pull is tightened and ended. Subsequently, the axis is lowered, working mainly Biceps femoris and Erectus spinae. This work brings initial results in this issue, but further research is needed on a larger sample of people.
