Comparison of the economic development of China and India in the 21th century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním hospodářského vývoje Číny a Indie v 21. století. Zaměřuje se na porovnání Číny a Indie z geografického, historického, politického, sociálního a hlavně ekonomického hlediska za účelem shrnutí jejich dosavadního vývoje. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny hlavni makroekonomické veličiny, dle kterých je analyzován ekonomický vývoj vybraných zemí – HDP, nezaměstnanost, inflace a vývoj platební bilance. V analytické časti bakalářské práce je provedena analýza a srovnání těchto ukazatelů u obou zemí za stanovená časová období. Vývoj Číny a Indie je porovnáván před, během a po velké finanční krizi. Na základě poznatků z výchozích kapitol je porovnán současný hospodářský rozdíl mezi zeměmi.

Abstract:

Tthe Bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the economic development of China and India in the 21th century. It focuses on the comparison of China and India from a geographical, historical, political, social and especially the economic point of view in order to summarize their current development. The theoretical part presents the main macroeconomic variables, according to which the economic development of selected countries is analysed - GDP, unemployment, inflation and structure of balance of payments. In the analytical part of bachelor´s thesis, an analysis and comparison of these indicators for both countries for specified periods is performed. The development of China and India is campared before, during and after the great financial crisis. Based on the findings from the initial chapters, the current economic difference between countries is compared.
